Sama Chawal Upma
Ingredients:
Half cup Sama Rice
1-1/2 cup Water
Few curry leaves
½ spoon finely chopped ginger
2 small Potato, chopped
Half cup sweet corn frozen or boiled
2 small Chopped green chili
5-6 pieces of Cashews (optional)
3 tablespoon Peanuts
Salt to Taste (Rock Salt)
Handful of finely chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoon Oil/Ghee
Method:
Heat
oil in a pan and cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, peanuts and Cashews, fry
until light brown in color. To the same pan add chopped potatoes, sweet corn
and cook until brown and crisp. Then add salt as per your taste. Add Sama rice
and water bring it a boil. When water is reduced to half, lower the flame...
Cover and let it cook in steam for 5 minutes. Take it off the flame and let it
sit covered for another 5 minutes. Sama Upma is ready. Fluff it with a fork,
add coriander leaves and serve hot. Enjoy it with curd..
(Note: - you can add more veggies of your
choice like carrot, beans etc.)
