Sama rice ki khichidi
Ingredients
1 cup sama
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 cup roasted and coarsely crushed peanuts
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 cup roasted and coarsely crushed peanuts
1 small potato medium chopped
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
Freshly chopped coriander
Salt to taste

Method
Heat the ghee in a
deep non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
When the seeds
crackle, add the Sama, peanuts, ginger, potatoes and green chillies and sauté
on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add 3 cups water
and salt, mix well cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes,
while stirring occasionally. Once done garnish it with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with
plain curd.
