Vermicelli Upma
To cook vermicelli
2 tsp oil & water to cook
1 cup vermicelli
½ tsp salt
Other ingredients:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
½ tsp urad dal
1 tsp chana dal
1 dried red chilli
few curry leaves
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
2 green chilli, slit
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
½ tsp turmeric
2 tbsp peas
2 tbsp carrot, finely chopped
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp sweet corn
½ lemon
2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
Method
In a kadai heat
oil and splutter mustard, urad dal, chana dal, dried red chilli and few curry
leaves. Also, now add ginger and green chilli. Saute well. Add onion and saute
slightly. Also, add peas, carrot and sweet corn. Saute for a minute. Then add
turmeric and salt. Saute for a minute. Cover and cook until vegetables turn
soft. Add in cooked vermicelli and mix gently. Now add coriander and ½ lemon. Mix
well. Finally, serve vermicelli upma hot & enjoy.
