Beetroot appe/pancake
1 big beetroot
1 small potato
3 to 4 green
Chillies
1 inch ginger
1 onion
1 cup chickpea
flour
1 cup semolina
Salt as required
Water as required
Method:
In a mixer take
beetroot, Potato, onion, green chillies & ginger and grind to a paste then
take bowl add all the ingredients, add required water and salt as per taste and
mix well and make a smooth batter. Heat appe pan; add 1/2 tsp of oil in each
hole/cavity. Fill each cavity with the batter. Cook covered on low heat for few
minutes. Same process can be done for a pancake too, Heat a nonstick large
skillet or girdle over medium heat.
When hot, pour 1/4
cup batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on surface of pancake.
Turnover and cook until lightly browned. Remove from pan and serve immediately
with any chutney or ketchup.
