Potato Idli
Ingredients:
Potatoes
– 3 big ones
Green
Chillies – 3 to 4 no’s
Semolina
– half cup
Yoghurt
/ Curd - : 5 tbsp
Eno
fruit salt – 1 tsp
Salt
as required
Method:
Firstly, peel the potatoes, cut, and keep aside.
In a mixer jar add potatoes along with green chilies and grind well. Further,
add the semolina and curd and grind all of them together to a fine paste.
Remove it in to a
bowl and add salt as required. In the meantime, grease the Idli plates and
preheat the steamer. Once you are ready to steam the idli, add eno fruit salt and
stir the batter. The batter will become light and fluffy.
Spoon the batter
into the greased plate and steam the Idlis for 15 -20 minutes until done.
Once done, turn off the heat and allow it to
rest for 5 minutes. Remove Idli from the plates and serve. You can even stir
fry these Idlis it becomes nice and crispy .Serve these healthy Idlis along
with sambhar
or chutney of your choice.
