Masala Bun
Ingredients:
2 pav (I have used
long buns)
3 tsp butter
2 tsp ginger
finely chopped
2 tsp garlic
finely chopped
2 onion finely
chopped
1 capsicum finely
chopped
1 large tomato
finely chopped
½ tsp kashmiri
chilli powder
1 tsp pav bhaji
masala
1 tsp roasted
sesame
Salt to taste
Water or as
required
Little coriander
leaves finely chopped
Method:
On a tawa or a in a kadai heat butter then saute chopped ginger
and garlic till they turn golden brown. Add onions and saute well then add
chopped capsicum and continue to saute.
Add finely chopped tomato and fry until they are soft. Add
masalas, chilli powder, pav bhaji masala and salt. Also add little water, mash,
and cook the masala well.
Scrape the masala to one side of pan. Then add butter on to tawa
and if you are using pav cut the pav into half then toast it for a minute &
if you are using long bread then slit it on the top so that the masala can be
stuffed in. Further, turn over, spread generous amount of prepared masala on
both kind of pav and garnish with chopped coriander leaves, and roasted sesame.
Serve masala pav hot and enjoy.
